While this weekend might not be what many of us were hoping for in the middle of the summer, the national forecaster has said that things will improve next week - for a short time
It may be June but there's no heatwave in sight as Met Eireann have warned there will be widespread downpours across the country this weekend.
Sunday 16th June Sunday will be cloudy with outbreaks of rain or drizzle over the northern half of the country but it will be drier and brighter further south with sunny spells and a few showers. Highest temperatures of 13 to 18 degrees, mildest in the south and east, with a light to moderate west to northwest wind. Mostly cloudy through the night with patches of light rain or drizzle, mainly in northern areas. Driest with some clear spells in the south.
