A rare update has been given on Michael Schumacher's health
A heartbreaking update on Michael Schumacher 's health came this week more than 11 years after he suffered a severe brain injury in a skiing accident.
Felix Gorner, one of Germany's top F1 reporters, has managed to stay more informed about the situation than most. Now, in a rare update on Schumacher's circumstances, he has offered some insight into Schumacher's ongoing struggle during a chat with broadcaster RTL. The couple will celebrate their 30th wedding anniversary this August, with it now being eight years since the Formula 1 legend was released from a hospital in Grenoble after suffering life-changing injuries in a skiing accident.
"When it became clear that the old Schumi perhaps never would return, Corinna had to accept her new life. She had to act," the German magazine Bunte reported in 2015.
