A search is underway for the boy from Louth, with it being referred to as “looking for a needle in a haystack” according to the source. It is being treated as a murder investigation following his disappearance. The gardai cover a large geographical area and a long timeline. Kyran would now be eight years old and was reported missing in Drogheda on 30 August. An Garda Siochana was told he had been seen two days earlier. Those investigating believe he has been missing for much longer.
