A motorist in Co Galway received three fines totaling €360 after gardai discovered multiple road safety violations during a routine patrol. The driver was found to be driving with two children in their car, neither of whom were properly restrained. Both children were found unrestrained, with one standing in between the front seats. The driver also failed to wear their own seatbelt, resulting in additional fines and penalty points.

A motorist in Co Galway has been was hit with a number of hefty fines after gardai pulled them over and discovered they were in breach of multiple road safety rules.

Gardai stopped the vehicle and discovered that a second child in the car was also not wearing their seatbelt. Upon further investigation, it was discovered that the driver of the car was also not wearing their seatbelt. "The driver has just received three fines of €120 that must be paid within 28 days and three penalty points will be added on their licence."

In addition, three penalty points can be added to your licence if you choose to pay the fine and not show up to court.
