The comedian will be off the airwaves this week as he takes a well-deserved break from his radio work - and he has revealed that Maura Derrane will be on air while he is off

The much loved comedian will be off the airwaves for the next few few days as he takes a well-deserved break from his mid-morning slot. He shared the news live on air on Friday morning as he signed off. Maura Derrane also took to Instagram to reveal that she will be in the hot seat this week.

"We have some great guests lined up, so I am really looking forward to that. I hope you listen in, see you then!" Maura's radio stint comes after she finished up on The Today Show for the summer last month. She and her co-presenter Dáithí O'Sé will be off screens until September.
