Outrage as flights grounded for hours at Dublin Airport after Storm Freya snowfall
Holiday-makers were left outraged after flight passengers were left on planes 'for hours' after snowfall at Dublin Airport.
Although it was hit by snow and icy conditions, Dublin Airport said it was operating as normal all day. However, passengers hit back at the airport after claiming they were left stranded on planes due to no gates being available on arrival to Dublin. Another said: "I am sitting on a plane on the tarmac which has been waiting for a gate for almost an hour so I am not sure how you can claim to be open and operational. What a joke!!!"
The airport responded by saying the de-icing of planes is the responsibility of the airlines themselves.
