The man, aged in his 70s, was killed as he crossed Ripponden Road in Oldham
A man who died after being struck by a motorbike while crossing the road in Oldham has been named as Tim Scratcherd.
The rider of the bike - a man aged in his 20s - was also rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries. He remains there for treatment. Mark said Tim went on to run his own business, the School House Partnership, which provided consultancy services to schools, local authorities and the Department for Education on matters relating to IT and computing.
“It was the Tim’s of this world who really embraced technology and thought about what it could do for education and the rest of us are following in his legacy.
