The world may be their oyster at the moment, but just don’t expect to find Picture This slurping back any seafood and creamy pints of stout to celebrate St Patrick’s Day.

It’s probably not a bad thing either because the last time they went out on the lash Jimmy literally had no bed to go home to. Nodding in agreement, Jimmy added: “We’re addicted to music. Any spare second we have we go straight back into the studio. That’s how we like to unwind. We don’t like to waste time doing pointless, meaningless stuff. We’re so focused and working so hard that we don’t really have time to be homesick. We’re young and enjoying it.”

Does he have any Irish-themed tattoos? “I have two guys fighting on my stomach, so that’s pretty Irish. But that’s as Irish as it gets,” he quipped. “I was going to get a harp recently. I will still get that. So that will probably be my first Irish-themed tattoo. They look pretty cool.” They were personally invited by U2 to their shows at the 3Arena last year, but prior commitments meant they weren’t able to take up the kind offer. Perhaps surprisingly, Picture This haven’t yet had the opportunity to press the flesh with U2, but Bono did reach out to them when they attended another U2 gig last year.

One thing that has struck them on this European tour is the amount of tricolours they’ve spotted in the crowds.
