The La Rochelle boss has confirmed his interest in the role.
Ronan O'Gara has revealed that he wants to coach the British and Irish Lions alongside Andy Farrell in 2025.
The Englishman has been backed for the role by current Wales boss and former Lions head-honcho Warren Gatland to take the touring party down under in two years time.Farrell is likely to bring an elite backroom team with him to Australia, and it has been suggested in recent days that O'Gara could be on the coaching ticket.
"Well it depends what role you're offered obviously. If you're the head coach you'd have to take a year on sabbatical, so that wouldn't work because of my commitment to La Rochelle.
