Mumba wrote the song My Way, which reflects her current mindset and journey as a woman. This is her first time participating in Eurosong, and she feels grateful for the opportunity.
Pop icon Samantha Mumba is hoping to represent Ireland in the Eurovision this year, and despite all of her success, she’s nervous about her performance on this weekend’s Late Late show.
While the pop sensation has often been suggested as a potential Eurovision entry, this is the first year she’s been asked, and she couldn’t be happier. “Timing is everything, I think a few years ago I wouldn’t have been in the right headspace or mindset for it.” The Dubliner says she is grateful for the life she’s been able to lead. “I’ve had ridiculously incredible experiences, I’ve had a beautiful life. It feels like a full circle to be able to represent the country and do a good job.”
Sage has also advised Samantha to change her hairstyle for her Eurosong performence. “In her defence she’s rarely wrong and she does have an eye for things.”
