The primary school saw their Ofsted rating drop to 'Requires Improvement'

A primary school in Wigan has seen their Ofsted rating dropped following criticism of their quality of education.

However, early years and Year 1 curriculums were praised in the report published on September 15. Following the inspection, which took place back in June 2023 at the Kitt Green Road site, the weaknesses of the school were attributed to staffing instability - which is believed to be improving now. Despite the drop in rating, the school was still described by inspectors as a place where ‘pupils are well mannered and they extend a warm welcome to visitors’.
