Heavy snowfall has been reported from each end of the country, from Cork in the south to Donegal in the north.
“Many places in Bantry are opening two hours later, while Skibbereen Community School will be doing classes online,” Cork Beo reported.Donegal schools have also announced closures around the county, with many choosing to stay closed for another day as temperatures continue to drop causing dangerous conditions.
“In Letterkenny, the following schools are among those that will remain closed today: Woodlands NS, Scoil Mhuire gan Smal, Lurgybrack NS, Ballyraine NS, Gaelscoil Adhamhnain, St Eunan’s College, Scoil Cholmcille NS and Loreto Secondary School.
