Temperatures will drop to between 0 and 5 degrees with moderate to fresh southerly winds shifting to westerly and easing overnight.Friday will start dry with sunny spells that may become hazy at times, reaching temperatures of 7 to 10 degrees in light and variable winds turning southerly later. Friday night will see cloud cover increase, with light rain or drizzle developing over the western half of the country. Temperatures will hover between 1 and 5 degrees, milder near the west coast, with moderate to fresh southerly winds. Saturday will be breezy and dull with light rain or drizzle mainly in the west and south. By evening, heavier and more persistent rain will move into the west and southwest. Temperatures will reach 8 to 12 degrees in a moderate to fresh southerly wind. Saturday night will be cloudy and wet with widespread rain, potentially heavy at times. Winds will be initially breezy with moderate to fresh southerly winds, but will shift westerly and ease overnight. Temperatures will drop to between 4 and 7 degrees.Sunday will see wet conditions in the east during the morning, quickly clearing eastwards to leave dry and bright conditions for the rest of the day. However, some cloud and drizzle may persist near the southeast coast. Temperatures will range from 8 to 10 degrees with light west to southwest winds. Sunday night will be dry with clear spells, but cloud will increase from the west bringing showers by morning. Temperatures will fall to between 1 and 5 degrees in light southerly winds.Finally, Monday, St Brigid's Day, will see breezy conditions with scattered showers at first. Rain and drizzle will move into western counties through the afternoon. Temperatures will reach 8 to 11 degrees in moderate to fresh southerly winds.
