People aged 18 are now able to qualify if they meet the criteria set out.
Your Child Benefit payment should have started again from May 2024 and continue until your child’s 19th birthday, or their education certificate expires - whichever comes first. If your child’s education certificate expired before their 19th birthday, the Department of Social Protection should have sent you a new one.
