Three Irish players celebrated wins in Friday's EuroMillions draw, despite no one claiming the record €200 million jackpot. Two players won €500,000 in the EuroMillions Plus draw, while another won €18,159 in the main draw. The National Lottery urged ticketholders in Cork, Galway, and Kilkenny to check their tickets.
While no one claimed the record-breaking €200 million EuroMillions jackpot in Ireland on Friday night, there were still reasons for three Irish players to celebrate. Two lucky players matched the winning numbers in the EuroMillions Plus draw, each winning a substantial €500,000 prize. In addition, another player walked away with €18,159 after matching five numbers in the main EuroMillions draw.
The National Lottery confirmed on Saturday morning that the two €500,000 EuroMillions Plus jackpot winners purchased their Quick Pick tickets in Cork and Galway. The Cork ticket was bought at Dunnes Stores in Ballyvolane Shopping Centre, while the Galway ticket was purchased at Concannon’s Daybreak in Ahascragh, Ballinasloe on Thursday. Both winning tickets matched the numbers drawn: 13, 14, 17, 26 and 32. In the main EuroMillions draw, the ticket holder who won over €18,000, another Quick Pick, was purchased at SuperValu in New Park Shopping Centre, Kilkenny. They matched five numbers from the winning combination: 9, 17, 18, 21, 50, and the two Lucky Stars: 5 and 12. The National Lottery is encouraging all players in Cork, Galway and Kilkenny to check their tickets carefully. Anyone holding a winning ticket is advised to contact the National Lottery prize claims team on 1800 666 222 or email [email protected] to arrange prize collection. 'We’re absolutely thrilled for our winners from Cork, Galway, and Kilkenny,' said Emma Monaghan, spokesperson for the National Lottery. 'We encourage everyone to check their tickets carefully and, if you’re holding a winning ticket, keep it safe, sign the back, and get in touch with our team as soon as possible!’ The EuroMillions jackpot, which was not claimed on Friday night, will roll over to the next draw on Tuesday 25th March, increasing the estimated prize to €220 million.
