Unlicensed driver led police on 100mph chase across M6, M65 and M61 because he 'panicked'
An unlicensed driver led police on a 100mph chase on three motorways because he panicked when they asked him to stop.
No-one was hurt during the chase and Gould eventually admitted to police that he had no insurance or licence. Gould, of no fixed address and formerly of Chorley, was originally due to be sentenced in January but failed to show up at court and a warrant was issued for his arrest. After initially describing the dangerous driving as less serious than other cases of the same offence, Mr Brown acknowledged it was “only by luck that an accident wasn’t caused and it would have been a serious accident at that sort of speed”.
