Bishop Mariann Budde's plea for compassion towards immigrants during an interfaith prayer service sparked a range of reactions from Donald Trump and his family. A lip reader claims Tiffany and Michael Boulos expressed disbelief, while Don Jr appeared indifferent. Melania Trump watched intently and the body language expert noted signs of 'group or herd responses' among the family. Trump himself condemned the Bishop on Truth Social, calling her a 'Radical Left hard line Trump hater'.
A lip reading expert has decoded the secret whispers exchanged by Donald Trump ’s family during an interfaith prayer service where the new president was lectured by Bishop Mariann Budde. Budde urged Trump to respect immigrants and LGBTQ+ citizens, telling him to 'have mercy upon the people in our country who are scared now'.
Trump, sporting a stone-faced expression, was captured by television cameras listening as Budde declared that 'the world order as we know it is now over' and people 'face a world of hard competition'. The group, particularly Trump's family, seemed taken aback when Budde stated that some people's “hopes and dreams” would be lost with the new presidential term. According to forensic lip reader Jeremy Freeman, Trump's daughter Tiffany turned to her husband Michael Boulos and remarked, “Can you believe it?” Her older brother Don Jr was observed engaging in conversation with someone out of frame for a while after expressing, “I can’t believe it, no”.When Budde spoke about hard-working migrants who clean restaurant kitchens and pick crops, Tiffany allegedly told her husband, “This crazy”, with Boulos responding by shaking his head. She then turned to him again and uttered the words: “Good and evil”. Bishop Budde then mentioned 'saying and doing things we might regret', prompting Trump to turn to Melania and inquire, 'Can you believe it?' causing her to smile.Earlier, Trump’s wife Melania had been seen watching intently as Budde addressed the former president, with occasional glances towards the other members of her family. During her speech, Budde pleaded with Trump to show compassion for immigrants, stating, 'They may not be citizens or have the proper documentation - but the vast majority... are not criminals. They pay taxes and are good neighbours, they are faithful members of our churches and mosques, synagogues and temples. 'I ask you to have mercy, Mr President, on those in our communities whose children fear that their parents will be taken away, and that you help those who are fleeing warzones and persecution in their own lands to find compassion and welcome here,' she declared.Following the service, body language expert Judi James noted that Trump’s family displayed 'group or herd responses'. She commented, “Ivanka and Lara look like the first two on the benches behind Trump to smell a problem brewing. Don Jr has a poker face with his chin raised and Eric's pursed, puckered facial expression doesn't seem to register concern or to change at all. “But then even Don Jr glances to the side and Tiffany looks at her husband in a tie-sign that hints at some embarrassment or awkwardness. Lara looks like the most politically aware of the family group. She manages to sustain a stoic part-smile but her frequent eye-flick glances to Trump suggest she's wanting to tune into his reaction and display loyalty.'Responding to Bishop Budde on his media platform Truth Social, Trump denounced her as a 'Radical Left hard line Trump hater' who had 'brought her church into the World of politics in a very ungracious way'. He criticized her speech as 'nasty in tone, and not compelling or smart', and accused her of failing to mention the 'large number of illegal migrants that came into our Country and killed people'. Trump further claimed the service was 'very boring and uninspiring', stating of Budde, 'She is not very good at her job! She and her church owe the public an apology!
