Rhys McClenaghan and Laura Nolan impressed the judges, especially Loraine Barry, with their Tango performance on Dancing With The Stars.
Dancing With The Stars judge Loraine Barry grew emotional this week as Rhys McClenaghan and Laura Nolan danced the Tango to Tanguera by Sexteto Mayor. The beautiful dance received high marks from all of the judges, but Loraine in particular was moved by the dance, as she recognised many of the moves and steps from her own dance career. Her voice filled with emotion, she praised the dancing duo for their powerful performance.
\'You did it sublimely, the character, the drama and yet the stillness. For me, you gave it socks,' she said. Acknowledging that the moves were familiar to Loraine, Rhys said: 'I wanted to showcase them.' \“This week I’m really impressed because you gave me something I wasn’t sure we’d get,” judge Brian Redmond said. Karen Byrne agreed, adding: “Did it impress me as much as last week, ahhh yeah? You’re doing well!”. He was awarded a score of 32 points, nabbing eights across the board from all four judges. On social media, viewers of the show were all saying the same thing - how impressed they are with the artistic gymnast. One said via X: 'Some of the dances are really good for second week in but Rhys is bringing it again this week. He’s outstanding!' Another said: 'That's my winner there Rhys.' A third added: 'Are we sure Rhys isn’t a professional dancer? That was sensational again!! And the spotlight action! OMG!'
