Met Eireann explained that people can expect a major weather change as we move into the month of March.

It will be mostly cloudy in the west and north of the country tonight with patchy light rain and drizzle moving in from the Atlantic. It will be dry further east and south with clear spells. Lowest temperatures of between 0 and 4 degrees in the east and south but ranging 5 to 8 degrees under the cloudier skies in the west and north.

Patchy drizzle in the northwest will clear overnight and most areas will become dry. Lowest temperatures will range from 1 to 7 degrees, coldest in the southeast and mildest in the northwest.
