A forecaster for Met Eireann said: "On Wednesday morning, cloud will increase from the north. Light rain and drizzle will develop in the north and spread southwards through the day, reaching southern counties in the early evening. As the weekend approaches things will be relatively dry around Ireland. Temperatures in some areas could reach 14 degrees. There won't be a sharp drop in the mercury overnight, but there will be some rain and drizzle in parts of the country.
