New figures from the Central Statistics Office (CSO) reveal that over 112,000 Ukrainians have been issued with Personal Public Service Numbers (PPSNs) in Ireland since the war began in February 2022. The data shows that 71% of these Beneficiaries of Temporary Protection (BOTPs) remain in Ireland.

Last month, 23,803 of the Ukrainian BOTPs had earnings from employment, with a mean weekly income of €501. Some 43 percent of these were working in the wholesale, transport and accommodation sectors. The location of 106,874 of the BOTPs could be established using information on the post office address where they receive benefits from the Department of Social Protection, or the address at which their host is receiving an Accommodation Recognition Payment .
Some 3,325 are working in the public service, education and health sectors; 3,320 are employed in finance, real estate or administration; and 1,238 are working in the area of IT, scientific and recreation.
