The man, aged in his 60s, died after an incident at a residence on the Gainsborough Lawn estate in Malahide at around 8:30am on Saturday morning

There may have been witnesses to the assault which resulted in the death of a man in his 60s this morning.

A man in his 20s has been arrested in connection with the investigation. The scene is currently being preserved for examination by the Garda Technical Bureau. Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to come forward, particularly those who were in the Gainsborough Lawn area between 8am and 8.45am.
