A woman has been seriously injured after being struck in a hit-and-run on Sunday, February 2. It happened on the R415 in Derrymullen , Allenwood, Co Kildare around 11.15am.
The victim was taken by ambulance to hospital, where she is being treated for serious non-life threatening injuries. "At approximately 11.15am Gardaí and emergency services responded to a single-vehicle hit and run collision on the R415 in Derrymullen, Allenwood, Kildare. A female pedestrian, aged in her 40s, was struck by a vehicle which failed to remain at the scene. The female was removed by ambulance to hospital with serious non-life threatening injuries.
