There have been complaints about Manor Parade car park in Worthing after people received £100 fines.
Shop owners say they fear losing business and closure because of customers boycotting a private car park which has been fining people up to £100.
One person claimed they were fined for parking with their wheels on the white lines and said they “will no longer risk” using shops in the parade. Customer Elaine Stringer said: “Unless I use my mobility scooter I can’t come in to the parade, the bays aren’t wide enough for your average car.”Landowner W R Roffey Ltd said One Parking Solution recently upgraded the camera.
