After a weekend washout, Ireland is set to enjoy a spell of dry and sunny weather with temperatures climbing into the double digits
Spring may finally have sprung as Met Eireann 's latest forecast shows that Ireland is set to enjoy a spell of warm and sunny weather over the coming days.
However, the national forecaster has said a band of high pressure is set to build near Ireland bringing a good deal of dry, settled weather as we move towards the end of the week, with temperatures set to climb to 11C this weekend. Rain will clear from east Ulster early tomorrow morning to leave a bright and breezy day with a mix of sunshine and scattered showers. Some of the showers will be heavy and prolonged, Met Eireann has warned, especially in the northwest with the chance of hail and thunder. We can expect highest temperatures of 6C to 9C in fresh to strong northwest winds.
It will become largely dry on Thursday night with long clear spells. Frost will develop in some areas along with pockets of fog. Another cold night in store with lowest temperatures of -2C to +2C generally but milder along Atlantic coastal fringes.
