Things are looking grim for the next day or so in parts of the country but don't worry as conditions will clear to make way for a week of glorious spring sunshine
It looks like we are in for a stretch of sunny, dry and warm weather very soon, with highs of 16 degrees expected. Met Eireann have predicted hail and possible thunderstorms in parts of the country, as well as some showers and drizzle over the next day or two. Thankfully, things will brighten up just as Mother's Day comes around this weekend.
Tomorrow Some bright or sunny spells in the east at first tomorrow but otherwise cloudy with outbreaks of light rain and drizzle, particularly in the southwest and west in the morning. The rain and drizzle will turn lighter and patchier as it spreads eastwards across the country along with some mist, hill and coastal fog. Highest temperatures of 11 to 15 degrees with moderate to fresh south to southwest winds developing. Largely dry overnight with a mix of cloud and clear spells.
Monday 31st March Mist and fog will clear through the morning to leave a mostly dry day with a mix of cloud and sunny spells with just isolated light showers. Highest temperatures of 12 to 15 degrees in light to moderate southwest to south winds. Mainly dry overnight with lowest temperatures of 4 to 8 degrees in light to moderate south to southeast breezes. Mist and fog patches will also develop.
