A Status Red weather warning has been issued for the entire country due to Storm Eowyn, which is predicted to bring “powerful and disruptive winds' to Ireland
Alan O'Reilly from Carlow Weather said in an evening update: "Wednesday evening, and we have got a Red warning for all 26 counties now, the South East counties were added to Red. "The timings do vary starting from early two, three o'clock Friday morning, some ending at 10am, some at midday, and some later, depending how far North you go. "Keep an eye on the timings, they could still change on the weather warning s.
"The South East should escape the worst of it, but still looking at very strong winds. If we look at the high resoloution weather models here, we can see some more detail in terms of the wind speed. "There is a possibilty of gusts of 170kmp/h 180kmp/h on the West Coast, but over 140kmp/h and 150kmp/h is possible in some parts inland.
