The 77-year-old died following a fatal road traffic collision which occurred on the N80 at Crannagh, Stradbally on Sunday night
An elderly pedestrian who died following a fatal road traffic collision has been described as an “absolute gent”.
This is the second fatal incident involving a pedestrian and a vehicle in the last 48 hours in Laois. On Saturday February 22, five-year-old Aaron Hussain was killed following a collision in Kilminchy. Gardai say that the collision involving Mr Mulhall and a car happened at around 10.45pm on Sunday, February 23.This is on a section of the N80 outside Stradbally.
The road was closed for a time on Monday pending an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators. Garda are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this collision to contact them.
